da betano casino: Despite Harry Redknapp being the overwhelming favourite for the vacant England manager’s post, the FA are believed to be drawing up a shortlist of possible candidates.
The Tottenham boss has been at the centre of speculation surrounding the national role, with the British media stated that it was only a matter of time before the White Hart Lane head coach was approached in regards to the position.
However, The Guardian state that Redknapp has not been contacted by the game’s governing body as yet, as a successor to Fabio Capello is searched out.
Stuart Pearce fills the role on an interim basis, but lost his first game in charge 3-2 to Netherlands on Wednesday night.
The newspaper also believe that Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola and Real Madrid tactician are on the FA’s hitlist, with their availability and interest set to be sounded out next week as other options to Redknapp.
Although ambitious, there is some reasoning surrounding the duo’s potential inclusion; Guardiola is out of contract at the Camp Nou at the end of the season and has yet to extend, whilst Mourinho has continually been linked with a move back to the United Kingdom, as the Spanish media hound the Portuguese trainer.
Redknapp is still believed to be the frontrunner, but these widespread reports indicate that the FA are also keeping their options open.
