da dobrowin: After almost two years of unrelenting injury problems, ironically starting during Jurgen Klopp’s first training session as Liverpool manager, Danny Ings has become a forgotten man at Anfield.
da cassino: But it wasn’t so long ago he was rated as one of the Premier League’s most exciting young Englishmen, netting eleven times for a Burnley outfit that suffered relegation from the top flight during the 2014/15 season.
Furthermore, in terms of style, Ings still seems ideally suited to Klopp’s philosophy, as a versatile, technically gifted and industrious attacker who can play along the front-line or just behind it.
Now aged 25, the one-cap England international’s career appears to have hit a crossroads, one that could see him leave the club this summer, either on loan or permanently, or get another chance in the Liverpool first-team next season.
With that in mind, we asked Liverpool supporters last week how they’d handle Ings’ situation and according to our poll, the vast majority think he deserves some kind of first-team run to prove himself once again in the coming campaign.
