Liverpool will need to be wary of Sheffield United in their bid to maintain their 100% record, as the Blades have already gained results away at Chelsea and Everton this season.
Their home form has been a little more underwhelming and with Liverpool not losing to a club outside the top six in the league since defeat against Swansea in January 2018, there is a strong likelihood that the Reds will extend their run of 15 consecutive league wins.
In order to do so, however, they will probably need to improve on their showing in the previous two away matches, particularly against Chelsea when they achieved a pass accuracy of only 73%.
As a result, Fabinho could be key to any chance of success, though the impressive Oliver Norwood could present the biggest challenge that he has faced yet this season.
The Blades has adjusted well to life in the top-flight having finally made the step-up to the Premier League after achieving his third promotion from the Championship in as many years, a return to the top level which Alex Ferguson always believed he would achieve after his release from Manchester United.
His stats, as recorded by WhoScored, show that he should prove to be an ample match for the Brazilian.
Fabinho has gained several plaudits from fans for his performances since coming into Jurgen Klopp’s team and much of that is due to his command of the midfield, which is helped by his pass accuracy of 87%, as per WhoScored.
However, one area in which he often excels – his tackling – could see him outperformed by Norwood, whose role in Chris Wilder’s team and his reading of the play helps him to get involved in combating the opposition.

Much of the Blades’ success against Everton was a result of that tenacity in the middle, evidenced by their 15 tackles, and the way they managed to pack out the middle.
That could have the effect of limiting space for Fabinho and as a result he may not be able to display the usual influence he has via his average of 53 passes per game.
Also, he will have put in a strong defensive display and improve on his average interception rate if he is to cut out the danger posed by the 28-year-old, who has averaged 2.2 key passes this season.
Given how often Liverpool have dominated possession this season it is more likely Fabinho will command the flow of the game, and if he moves the ball quickly and has intelligence in his passing then Sheffield United may struggle to keep up.
